The Dalmahoy estate dates back to the 13th century, and the present mansion house was built in 1725. The East course was designed by James Braid in 1927, and the West course was added in 1979 by Donald Steel. Both courses have hosted several major tournaments, including the Solheim Cup, the Scottish Seniors Open, and the Scottish PGA Championship.

Course Design at Dalmahoy Golf Courses

The East course is a classic parkland layout, measuring 6,965 yards with a par of 72. It features tree-lined fairways, well-placed bunkers, and challenging greens, making it a test for golfers of all abilities. The signature hole is the 18th, a par-3 with a green surrounded by water, providing a thrilling finish to the round.

The West course, designed by Donald Steel, measures 5,168 yards with a par of 68. It's a challenging links-style course with undulating fairways, deep bunkers, and fast greens, providing a true test of golf. The signature hole is the 14th, a par-3 with a green surrounded by bunkers and gorse, offering a stunning view of the Edinburgh skyline.
