A Brief History of St Andrews Links, Jubilee Course
The Course, originally designed by John Angus, opened in 1897 was named in honour of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee and has since become a renowned gem among the St Andrews Links courses.
It was initially designed with women and novice golfers in mind, but in 1988, the Jubilee was changed by Donald Steel to a championship design due to its ideal golfing location between the New Course and the sea.
Over the years, the course has undergone several enhancements to refine its layout and maintain its reputation as a challenging and scenic golfing destination.
