The Castle Course

The Castle Course -St Andrews Links

The Castle Course is the newest member of the St Andrews Links portfolio of courses. Even though only opened in 2008, it is fast becoming a favourite amongst locals and visitors alike. The Castle course is only two miles from the heart of town and follows the coastline to the east of St. Andrews. The Castle Course is a superb complement to the Trust's other six golf courses, with outstanding scenery and a demanding level of play.

A Brief History of The Castle Course St Andrews

The Course, designed by Scotsman David McLay Kidd, opened in 2008 and quickly gained acclaim for its modern design and stunning setting. It is the most recent addition to the prestigious St Andrews Links, a network of top-notch golf courses that has drawn players from all over the world for decades.

The marquee hole is the Par 3 17th, which forces you to play around 180 yds over a rugged bay to a tricky green, which is usually into the prevailing wind.
